Becoming a Junior Ranger!
Designed for children aged 5-12
and their families.
You can earn a Junior Ranger badge when you help Rocky Mountain National Park protect the park. When you arrive at the Rocky, go to the Visitors Center and request a copy of the "Junior Ranger Log Book", complete the 7 tasks (activities) in the log book then review your activities with a ranger. The 7 activities involve 1) keeping the Rocky clean, 2) not feeding the wildlife, 3) exploring the natural community, 4) identifying ecosystems, 5) mapping the Rocky, 6) safety planning and 7) joining a Ranger Program.

When you have completed the 7 activities and taken the Junior Ranger Pledge, a Park Ranger will sign your certificate at the end of the booklet and award you an official Junior Ranger Badge!
See the Ranger at the 3 visitor centers for more information and to get your Junior Ranger Log Booklet. Visitor Center are Beaver Meadows Visitor Center on US 36 (South Entrance), Fall River Visitor Center on US 34 (North Entrance) and Kawuneeche Visitors Center on US 34 (West Entrance).
