National Park Service at RMNP
On January 15, 1915, Rocky Mountain National Park became the 10th national Park and came under the protection of the newly formed National Park Service with the mandate to "...conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and the wildlife therein and to provide for the enjoyment of the same in such manner and by such means as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations.
