Bear Lake Road -- Alberta
Falls |
Alberta Falls is a short .6-mile walk from the
Glacier Gorge Junction Trailhead. This is an easy hike and is excellent for
kids. On this short early-morning walk, I say two separate herds of elk. One
herd was only 2 cows and the other was a mixed group of about 12. Early in the
day, you are liable to encounter elk almost anywhere in the park.

overcast day to avoid the harsh light that causes dark shadows and burnt out
highlights. The exposure was with a tripod and 1/8 of a second to create the
"angle hair" effect of the water in the foreground. |
